Check session usage
See listening time and the Scribe and Assist minutes used in each conversation.
Open your account history
Open Settings → Usage to load the connected account’s sessions, including sessions from your other connected Macs. This history is independent of recordings saved in the current workspace.
Refresh to load the latest records. Your internet connection and account access are needed to retrieve them.
Listening time and minutes used
Listening time is how long the session listened, excluding pauses. Scribe minutes and Assist minutes show how much of each allowance the conversation used.
| Time spent in a mode | Scribe minutes used | Assist minutes used |
|---|---|---|
| 12 minutes in Scribe | 12 minutes | 0 |
| 5 minutes in Scribe + Assist | 0 | 5 minutes |
| 3 more minutes in Scribe | 3 minutes | 0 |
| 20 minutes total | 15 minutes | 5 minutes |
These are illustrative durations. Changing modes keeps one conversation and its usage history. The session’s breakdown shows the time spent in each mode; paused time is excluded from both balances. Transcription during Scribe + Assist is included in Assist usage.
Usage is tracked precisely even when the screen rounds a duration for readability. Switching repeatedly does not round up each interval to another minute. A session still in progress can update as its usage is confirmed.
For unmetered access, usage shows the listening duration without deducting a balance. Older sessions retain the accounting that applied when they were recorded, including the earlier shared allowance; their historical charges are not recalculated.
Check Settings → Billing for your current allowances, renewal and purchased minutes. See Plans and listening minutes.
Titles and local recordings
Usage shows the latest title synced to the account. Your own title takes priority over an automatically generated one. Use the date to identify a session without a title.
Renaming a recording updates its usage title after syncing. Hiding it, moving it to Trash, permanently deleting it, or opening another workspace does not remove its usage record or last synced title.
Usage history does not restore deleted transcripts or audio. Manage those files in Recordings and Recently deleted.
Offline renames
A rename made offline or while signed out waits on this Mac until the recording’s original account reconnects. The queued title survives deletion of the local recording.
Signing into another account does not move its usage record to that account. If you rename a recording more than once, the latest rename takes priority when those changes sync.
