Terms of service

Effective October 24, 2026. lisnio is a listening and research assistant for Mac provided by iPranay Inc. These terms apply to our app, website and account services. By creating an account or using lisnio, you agree to these terms. Access is currently limited while we prepare the public release.

Your account and use of lisnio

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into this agreement. Keep your sign-in codes and connected devices secure, and contact us if someone uses your account without permission. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use lisnio for lawful personal or business use. Do not resell account access, bypass usage limits, interfere with the service, or use it to harm others or violate their rights.

Use lisnio only with conversations and content you are allowed to process. Obtain other participants’ permission before recording them. You control listening, saved audio and local files. AI answers can be incomplete or incorrect; check their sources before relying on them. See the privacy policy for what is processed. lisnio requires a compatible Mac, macOS 26 or later, an internet connection for transcription and research, and the system permissions needed for the audio sources you choose.

Your conversations and answers

You keep ownership of your conversations, notes and other content. You permit us and our service providers to process the relevant content to provide the features you use, as described in our privacy policy. You are responsible for having permission to share it. AI answers are informational and are not a substitute for professional medical, legal or financial advice.

Free trial

Eligible new accounts with a verified email receive a trial once.The published trial includes 150 Scribe minutes and 15 Assist minutes. No payment card is required.Trial minutes expire 7 days after your first session. Reinstalling, connecting another Mac or deleting and recreating an account does not renew the trial. Free minutes are used in expiry order alongside paid minutes. After they run out, a paid plan is needed for further listening; saved local conversations remain accessible.

Minutes and renewals

Our pricing page lists plans and allowances. A monthly plan renews until canceled. Checkout shows its price, currency, billing interval and applicable taxes before confirmation. Monthly minutes expire at the end of each paid period. Extra minute packs do not expire. Eligible minutes expiring sooner are used first; paused time does not count as listening. Signing in on another Mac recovers the same balance rather than granting a second allowance.

New separate allowances count one Scribe minute per listening minute in Scribe, or one Assist minute per listening minute in Scribe + Assist. Transcription is included in Assist usage. You can switch modes during the same conversation. When Assist minutes run out, listening continues in Scribe if Scribe minutes remain; if neither balance has minutes, listening pauses and saves the captured conversation. Settings → Usage shows time and minutes used in each mode.

Earlier shared-allowance offers keep their original accounting: one shared minute covers ten listening minutes in Scribe or one in Scribe + Assist. They do not create two independent balances. Your purchase confirmation and Billing show the allowance applicable to your account. Later changes to included amounts do not recalculate earlier purchases or session usage.

Changing plans

An upgrade takes effect immediately after payment confirmation, with a prorated charge shown before you approve it and prorated extra monthly minutes for the remaining period, calculated separately for each mode. A downgrade or a change reducing either mode's allowance takes effect at the next renewal; your paid allowance remains available until the current period ends. You can restore the already paid plan without paying twice until one hour before renewal. Plan changes reopen after renewal.

Cancellation and deletion

Use Settings → Billing → Manage billing to cancel at the end of the current period. Monthly minutes remain available until their displayed expiry; extra minutes remain available. Account deletion instead cancels immediately, disconnects every device and forfeits unused minutes. It does not erase local conversations or financial records.

Payments and refunds

Paddle is our merchant of record and authorized reseller. It processes checkout, payment methods, receipts, taxes and subscription billing. Its buyer terms and refund policy apply to purchases made through Paddle. Read our refund policy for how to request help and how refunds affect minutes. An approved refund removes the corresponding unused allowance. With separate allowances, it does not deduct the other mode's minutes or minutes from an unrelated purchase, or change past listening.

Service changes and availability

We may update lisnio, correct errors and change features. Research depends on third-party services and may be delayed or unavailable. We may suspend access when needed to address abuse, security risks or unpaid charges. If we discontinue a paid service, we will give notice and address unused prepaid access through the applicable refund process. A price change will be communicated before it applies to a renewal.

Responsibility and your legal rights

To the extent permitted by law, lisnio is provided as available without a guarantee that every answer is accurate or that service is uninterrupted. We are not responsible for losses caused by reliance on an AI answer or for copies of files you store independently. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded. Paddle’s buyer terms govern the purchase transaction; these terms govern your use of lisnio.

Changes to these terms and contact
