Delete your account

Understand the confirmation, immediate cancellation and what remains on your Mac.

Before deleting

Deletion disconnects every Mac, cancels the subscription immediately and forfeits unused minutes. It is different from signing out or canceling at the end of a paid period.

Financial and usage accounting records remain for reconciliation and disputes. Local conversations and your backups are separate files; deleting the account does not remove them.

Verify and delete

Open Settings → Account. Choose the account-removal action and read its explanation.
Verify by email. Request a fresh email code for deletion. An old sign-in code is not enough.
Review the final action. Complete the verification and confirm deletion only when you intend to remove the account. Requesting a code alone does not delete it.

Remove local conversations separately

Use Remove and restore conversations for workspace files. Backups, exports and records held by payment or email processors keep their own copies.
