I didn’t want more meeting notes.

I’ve used AI meeting note takers. They captured the conversation, wrote it up, and sent me a summary. I never went back to read any of it.

And yet, there’s so much built around those notes. Templates to format them. Folders to organize them. Highlight clips to share. A chat where you can ask questions about meetings you’ve already had.

I didn’t want any of that. I didn’t want to turn my conversations into a collection I was supposed to manage. I wanted help with the conversation I was still in.

That’s what frustrated me. AI can research a subject, check a fact, explain something unfamiliar. But to get that help, I still had to stop listening, open a chat, and explain what I needed. The person I actually wanted to talk to was right there.

If the AI is already listening, why am I still doing all the asking?

That question is why I built lisnio. It listens to the conversation and looks things up when it can help, without waiting for me to write a prompt.

No note templates to choose. No highlight reels to put together. I wanted the useful answer, right then, so I could keep talking.

Now I use it myself, and that’s the relief: I can stay with the person I’m talking to while lisnio does the looking up. Finally, the kind of help I wanted in the first place.
