Pause, resume and end

Know which controls stop capture and which ones finish a conversation.

Pause a conversation

Pause stops audio capture and new research for the current session. The conversation remains open so you can return to it. Use this when discussing something you do not want included, or when taking a break.

Resume continues the same session and reconnects the selected audio sources. Speech during the pause is not captured and does not get added later.

Choose Scribe or Assist in the mode control while listening or paused. A paused choice takes effect on Resume, without creating another recording. If Assist minutes are exhausted, Resume uses Scribe when Scribe minutes remain. The title and summary are completed after End.

End a conversation

Stop listening finishes the session and saves the conversation. In Floating, this is the square stop icon on the control spine. A new Start creates a new session. Stopping prevents new answers from appearing in the finished session. The title and summary may finish saving afterward in either mode. Open the recording to read its Summary beside the transcript; recordings with saved answers also have an Answers tab.

Hide the controls

Hide floating UI in the menu bar menu hides the whole floating view. Show floating UI brings it back. Clicking the logo switches between Floating and Mini-floating. In Mini-floating, the attached s / a badge changes the mode. These actions only change what is visible; listening continues. Use Pause or Stop listening to stop capture.

Billing is separate

Paused time does not count as listening time. Ending a session does not cancel a subscription. To stop renewals, use Cancel your subscription.
