Keyboard shortcuts
Control listening and floating windows without leaving your call.
Find your current shortcuts
Open Settings → Shortcuts. The shortcut recorder beside each action shows its current keys. Use the keys shown there; they may differ from the recommended defaults if you changed them.
Available actions include:
- Start listening in Scribe + Assist.
- Start listening in Scribe.
- Pause / resume listening.
- Stop listening and save the session.
- Show / hide floating UI.
- Open the current session.
The recommended keys are Control + Option + Command + L for Scribe + Assist and Control + Option + Command + N for Scribe. These are start actions; use the session’s mode control to change an active conversation. When Assist minutes are exhausted and Scribe minutes remain, starting falls back to Scribe. The separate Automatic listening mode choice controls automatic starts.
Change a shortcut
Select its recorder and press the new key combination. If lisnio reports a conflict, choose different keys. The recommended shortcut control restores the app’s suggested combination.
Shortcuts work from other apps, including when lisnio’s windows are closed. Actions still depend on session state: for example, Pause applies to an active conversation.
If a shortcut does nothing
Check the configured keys and current session state. Another application or macOS can reserve a key combination. Try the same action through the lisnio menu bar menu; if that works, use a different shortcut.
Remember that hiding windows leaves capture running. Use Pause or Stop listening to stop it.
