Install an update
Get automatic updates without interrupting your conversations.
Automatic updates
lisnio checks for updates and downloads them quietly. A dot on the Settings button means an update is available. Open Settings → Updates to see progress and release notes, check manually or turn automatic downloads off.
Downloaded updates install when you quit. You can also choose Update and restart once your session has ended and your changes are saved. Live and paused sessions stay uninterrupted.
Update an older copy
Builds before automatic updates was added need one manual replacement. Keep staging and production builds distinct; they use separate account connections.
-
Finish the current session. Use End or Stop listening and let the recording finish saving.
-
Quit lisnio. Quit the running app before replacing it. Keep only one intended instance running.
-
Replace the app in Applications. Use Download for Mac above, install the newer copy in the same location, then reopen it.
Check your workspace
The workspace is separate from the application. Your saved conversations and account connection should remain in place when replacing the same build environment.
Open Settings → Workspace if the library looks empty and confirm the selected folder. Signing in again does not download local conversations from another Mac.
If something looks wrong
Check that you launched the intended copy in Applications rather than an older copy on a mounted disk image. End listening before changing workspace or replacing the app again.
Keep a workspace backup before important changes. For an error, contact support with the app version and what happened, leaving out private codes and conversation contents.
