Workspace and backups

Find your workspace

Open Settings → Workspace. Reveal Workspace opens the current folder in Finder. New installations use a workspace folder in Documents unless you choose another location.

Change Workspace… selects a different local folder. End the active session first. Selecting another folder changes the library you see; it does not automatically copy conversations from the previous folder.

Make a backup

Choose Back Up… and select the destination. Keep a copy somewhere independent of your working folder. A backup contains saved conversations and workspace files, including recoverable deleted items.

Treat the backup as private: it can contain transcripts, audio and notes. Copies you make are not removed when you delete the original conversation.

Restore a backup

End any session, then choose Restore Backup… and select the backup. lisnio verifies it and restores into a new folder. Use Change Workspace… to open that restored folder when the operation finishes.

Storage maintenance

Optimize Storage reduces the size of eligible saved files while preserving their content. Rebuild Index checks saved history and rebuilds disposable indexes; it is not a substitute for a backup.

If a workspace is missing, reconnect its location or choose the correct folder. Do not delete files to make an error disappear.
