Fix missing audio
Check sources, permissions and devices when lisnio cannot hear the conversation.
Check the selected source
Open Settings → Listening and review microphone-only, speaker audio or the selected app. End the active session before changing sources. For an app-specific source, make sure the intended app is open and selected.
A microphone captures nearby speech; it does not automatically capture every remote voice. For a call, include the appropriate remote audio source too.
Check macOS access
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security. Review Microphone and Screen & System Audio Recording access for lisnio as applicable to your selected source.
Follow the warning in lisnio after granting access. If macOS requires restarting the app, end the session and quit before reopening the intended copy.
If audio stops partway through
Changing an input device, speaker output or call app can interrupt capture. Check the device and source, then Resume to reconnect when the app’s warning tells you to.
Do not assume a hidden control means capture has stopped. Use Pause or End when you need it stopped.
Separate capture from research
If the transcript contains the expected speech but answers are missing, use Answers are missing or delayed. If speech is absent, resolve the audio issue first.
