How lisnio works

What lisnio listens for, how it researches and where answers appear.

Help while you talk

lisnio is a quiet helper for conversations. Choose Scribe + Assist when you want it to notice useful needs: an unfamiliar name, a fact to check, a comparison or a question that would benefit from research. You do not need to stop the conversation and write a prompt for every lookup.

Live audio is sent to lisnio’s online transcription service. With Assist on, relevant conversation text also goes to online services to work out what could help, write a useful question and research an answer. Sometimes a short audio clip is used to understand unclear speech. See what is processed for details.

Choose Scribe for a transcript, with an automatic title and summary after End. It does not start new research or live answers. Switch between Scribe and Scribe + Assist during the same conversation; the transcript continues and existing answers remain available. Learn about the mode control.

From an Assist conversation to an answer

  1. Hear the discussion. Your chosen audio sources supply the conversation. Partial transcript text can change as speech recognition receives more words.

  2. Notice something useful. lisnio considers the current discussion and work it has already done. It can wait for more context, reuse an answer or investigate a new need.

  3. Research and show an answer. Useful questions are researched online or answered from the current conversation. Answers appear in the Floating view and the session’s Answers view.

What to expect

lisnio does not produce an answer for every sentence. Research can take time, and an answer can be incomplete or wrong. Follow its source links and check facts before relying on them.

Hiding the floating UI does not stop listening. Pause or end the session when you want capture to stop.
